Andrea is the Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood having first been elected in May 2015. She is from Yorkshire and has had a rounded and diverse career with over 15 years in management in the private sector working for multi-national companies. Andrea first became involved with politics following the unexpected death of her Father to MRSA. Following her election to Parliament, she has been a strong advocate for high standards in healthcare and patient safety. She was previously the European Liaison and member of the Health Select Committee and is currently the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Patient Safety. Even has always been a Eurosceptic. As far back as 2014, Andrea was working on the 'Let Britain Decide' campaign, which advocated for the British people to have the final say on their membership of the EU through a referendum. During the EU referendum campaign Andrea was appointed as the Vote Leave regional MP coordinator for all of the Yorkshire constituencies. Andrea currently sits on the Committee for Exiting the European Union and is Co- Chair of the APPG for Education. In her spare time Andrea is a soprano singer and songwriter. She also enjoys spending time with her new-born son and walking her dog.
