John Dean

Clinical Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety

Dr John Dean was appointed clinical director for quality improvement and patient safety in January 2017, working in the Care Quality Improvement Department at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). He is an elected member of the RCP Council. John is deputy medical director (transformation) at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, where he works across the health economy leading service improvement. He has been the clinical lead for the trust as a Future Hospital development site and has extensive experience in service redesign and quality improvement.
