Dr Sunil Gupta is a GP in Essex, is a member of the NHS England Primary Care Patient Safety Group and a member of the Governing Body of Castle Point and Rochford Clinical Commissioning Group. He is a GP Trainer, a Training Programme Director of Chelmsford GP Training Scheme and an Examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners. Sunil is a member of the Board of the Essex Faculty of the RCGP, a member of the Essex Employment and Skills Board and a member of the East of England Clinical Senate Council. He is also a GP Advisor for CQC visits to General Practices, a GP Advisor as part of the RCGP Special Measures Support Team and a member of the NHS England Antimicrobial Resistance Strategy Implementation Group. Sunil was previously a member of the Programme Board of the NHS Leadership Academy, a member of the NHS Commissioning Assembly Steering Group and a Member of Health Education East of England Board. He other past roles include PEC Chair of South East Essex PCT, Member of the Fitness to Practise Panel of the GMC and a Trustee of the Queen's Nursing Institute. Sunil was previously also Accountable Officer of Castle Point and Rochford CCG, Clinical Advisor on Dementia for NHS England Midlands and East Region and Member of the Board of the Postgraduate Medical Institute at Anglia Ruskin University. He was previously a member of the East of England Clinical Programme Board for Patient Safety, has written a book on Clinical Commissioning.
